This article details the integration between GhostPractice and Outlook.

To get started, go to Outlook. In your main ribbon, find the Add-ins tab. Within the Add-ins tab, you will see Save to GhostPractice, Fees and File Notes and View Matter Transactions.

Save to GhostPractice
- Click on the email you'd like to save to your matter
Select Save to GhostPractice
- A confirmation screen will pop up; select whether you want to save the email to a:
- Matter
- Debt Recovery Debtor
- Client
- Enter the Matter Number or search for it
- Double-click on the Matter
Select your Document folder
You have the option to edit or rename your emails and attachments if you wish to do so. To do this, simply click Edit.
You can also remove an attachment from the email. To do this, highlight and select the attachment you’d like to remove and click Remove.
- Click Ok, and you will get a confirmation that the document has been loaded to GhostPractice successfully
Fees and File Notes
You can post Fees, Cost Recoveries, Notes and Unbillable Fees from Outlook directly to your matters in GhostPractice. To do this:
Go to your Add-ins tab and select Fees and File Notes
Enter your Matter Number or search for it
- Select whether you want to post a Cost Recovery, a Note, Unbillable Fees or an Unbilled Fee
- Select the Fee Code
Enter the Time; once done, click Ok
You can also post notes. To do this, enter the Matter Number. Select which type of Transaction you would like to capture. Once done, click Ok.
View Matter Transactions
You can view any matter's transaction history directly from Outlook. To do this:
Go to View Matter Transactions
Enter your Matter ID number to view the full transaction history.
In the Transaction History Module in GhostPractice, you will see all the fees you posted using Outlook. Any emails or attachments saved to GhostPractice using Outlook will be stored in the Document Management Module. |
