Debt Recovery Documents
Court Citation
For the debt recovery court documents, we have introduced a new “court citation” field that forms part of the court header.
By default, the court citation is populated with “DISTRICT OF <district name>” but can be edited to change the citation for each court.
1. Edit Court Citation
- Load the debt recovery debtor into the Legal Diary module
- Under Ad Hoc Activities select Additional Debtor Details
- The Data Edit dialog will open
2. Edit Court Details
- Locate the Court District field on the Data Edit dialog
- Select the appropriate Court for the debtor
Click the Edit button to access the Court Details dialog
- This will open the Table Editor for the Court Details dialog
3. Edit Court Citation
- Expand the Table Editor dialog showing the Court Details
Locate the new fields Court Citation Eng and Court Citation Afr at the bottom of the dialog
- By default, the citation will read DISTRICT OF <district name>
Edit the court citation data, for example, to: MAGISTRERIAL DISTRICT OF GARDEN ROUTE AND SUB-DISTRICT OF KNYSNA
Remember to apply capital case where needed, as that is how the data will display on the document - Click Save to apply your changes to the Court Details and close the Table Editor dialog
- Click Finish to complete the data capture changes
When generating the document, the court header will apply the citation recorded for the selected court
