This guide explains how to resolve an issue where you are not receiving email notifications when tasks are assigned in GhostPractice. Follow the steps below to enable task assignment emails and verify the email delivery settings if the issue continues.
Issue description
Users may not receive email notifications when a task is assigned to them in GhostPractice, even though the task appears in the system.
This is usually caused by notification preferences not being enabled or by an email delivery configuration issue.
Open User Preferences
In GhostPractice, go to Tools > User Preferences > Notifications.
Enable task assignment email notifications
Select the option to "Receive e-mails when tasks are assigned". Save your changes before leaving the Notifications page.
Test the notification setting
Ask a colleague to assign a test task to your user account and confirm whether the email notification is received.
If you still do not receive task assignment emails after enabling the notification setting, contact your IT team to verify the SMTP settings for GhostPractice. Incorrect SMTP configuration can prevent email notifications from being sent successfully.
If you need further help, review your user notification preferences or contact your support team for assistance with GhostPractice email delivery settings.
