This article describes the Matter Centric Module in GhostPractice® Web.
Transactions
Move Fee to Another Matter
In the Matter Centric Transactions module, when viewing a saved fee, users who can edit the fee can now also move the fee to another matter.
This allows users to change a fee that was incorrectly posted to the wrong matter without the need to delete and re-create the fee posting.
- When viewing the fee in the Transaction Details panel, a new Change Matter item now displays.
- When clicked, users will be prompted to search for the new Matter.
From the search results, select the new Matter and click the Confirm button to continue.
If different fee arrangements apply between the two matters, the User will be prompted to confirm whether the new fee rates should be applied or not.

- The User will have the option to update the fee details.
- Click Save and Close.
A successful pop-up message will appear, and the transactions screen will be refreshed:
Print Fee Posting
In the Matter Centric Transactions module users now have the ability to print the fee details for a saved posting.
- Select a fee to access the Transaction Details panel.
At the bottom of the panel, the Print option will display.
- When you click Print a new browser tab will open displaying the Fee and File Note Details report for the selected entry.
The browser will then display the Print option.
Tasks
Upload Task Documents
Users can now upload documents when creating new tasks.
Attach a Document to a New Task
- Select New Task, and the New Task panel will display.
- A New Upload Documents Toggle Button will display, after the Completion Settings Section
- Complete the task details.
- Toggle "on" the Upload Documents option, and the Upload Documents pane will display with folder selection.
- Select the Browse Files option to use the file browser dialog or drop your files onto the drop area.
- Use the Add to Folder field to indicate under which folder the files should display in Document Management module.
Select Save and Close or Save to record the new task.
The toast, Task created will display at the top of the screen
The attached documents will be saved to the matter and are accessible via the Document Management module.
In the tasks overview, the paperclip icon displays to indicate that there are documents attached to the task.
You can also access the documents when viewing the task details.
Contacts : New Permissions
Firms can restrict a user’s ability to create new contacts.

When a user, without the requisite permission, attempts to link a contact, the Create New Contact button will be hidden.
Payments: Payment Requisition Drafts
Users now have the ability to edit Draft Requisitions.
To create a Draft Requisition:
- Open the Matter.
- Select the New Payment Requisition button.
- Select the Payment Requisition Type.
- In the example below, a Trust payment requisition has been created.
- Complete the relevant information.
- Click Save Draft.
- A toast message will display to indicate if the draft was saved successfully.
View Drafts
In the Matter Centric Payments tab, check the Status filter is showing Draft and click Apply to update the view.
In the example below, the Status filter has been set to Draft:

To edit a Draft Requisition:
- Click on the three dots on the Draft Requisition.
Click Edit to access the Edit Trust Payments Requisition panel.
- Make the necessary adjustments.
Press Submit to save the payment requisition or Save Draft to return to it later.
The Payment requisition submitted successfully notification will display after clicking Submit.
The requisition status will be updated. In the example below, the status has been adjusted to Unauthorised.
