This article describes the tabs within the Contacts Module in GhostPractice®.
Overview
- Contacts can be added through the contacts module or by bulk import.
- Click on the Help button on the main toolbar to get assistance.
Top Tips

Contacts are used for :
- Contact information that displays in legal diary
- Populating documents
- Populating templates
- Extracting information for marketing to be used in bulk mailers
Tool Bar
| # | Field | Description |
| 1 | New | A new contact can be added by clicking on New. |
| 2 | Contact ID and Edit | Enter the contact id and click on edit to edit an existing contact. |
| 3 | Save | Save after adding new or editing a contact. |
| 4 | Delete | Delete existing contacts. |
| 5 | Filter by | Click on filter by to filter by relationship type. |
| 6 | Attorney Firms | Click here to add and maintain the contacts that are attorney firms (used for custom templates). |
General Tab
| # | Field | Description |
| 1 | Attorney Firms | Click on Attorney Firm to add an attorney firm – used for custom templates. |
| 2 | Legal entity type | Select the legal entity type. |
| 3 | FICA Applies | Check this box if contact is required to provide FICA documentation. |
| 4 | Client details | Enter the contact details. |
| 5 | Language | Select the preferred language to be used for correspondence. |
| 6 | Comments | Enter any comments with regards to the contact. |
| 7 | VAT number | Enter the Vat no. of the contact (If applicable). |
| 8 | Income Tax number | Enter the Income Tax no. of the contact (If applicable). |
| 9 | Interests | Select the contact’s interest. |
Details Tab
| # | Field | Description |
| 1 | Numbers | Enter the Contact details of the contact. |
| 2 | Banking details | Enter the banking details of the contact (if applicable). |
| 3 | Marriage details | Enter the marriage details of the contact (if applicable). |
| 4 | Attorney details | Enter the attorney details and check the “is attorney” checkbox if the contact is an attorney. Note: Used for custom template generation |
| 5 | Physical address | Enter the physical address of the contact. |
| 6 | Postal address | Check the “same as physical address” checkbox if the physical address is the same. Otherwise enter the postal address of the contact. |
Employment Details Tab
Enter the employment details. These details are populated to the Emolument Attachment Order.
Linked Accounts Tab
All accounts the contact is linked to will be listed on this tab.
Dependents Tab
| # | Field | Description | Notes |
| 1 | Create dependent | Click to create a dependent contact. | These details are used to populate process documents and custom templates |
| 2 | Edit dependent | Click to edit the dependent contact details.

| 3 | Delete Dependent
| Deletes the dependent.
| |
| 4 | Deletes the dependent.
| Click “Move up” of “Move down” to reorder the dependants.
