This article explores how to set the language of templates in GhostPractice®.
The language setting in your templates determines how MS Word's dictionary spell checker reads it. This is especially helpful when creating Afrikaans-language documents that won't be checkable in Word using a standard US English template.
There are two levels for setting the default language: the Template Level applies to the entire document, while the Style Level allows for multiple languages within a single document.
First, navigate to the Template Manager module. Then, create a New Template to access the Template Editor.
1. Template Level
- Click Edit on the Template Editor toolbar.
Select Set Language.
The Language selection dialog box will open, select the Language and tick the option to 'Make default language of document'.
- Click OK to apply the language setting change and return to the Template editor.
- Click SAVE to save the Template.
2. Style Level
To set an individual style's language:
- Click on the Styles tab on the right side of the Template.
- Click New Style.
- Choose an appropriate Name for the Style, and set the rest of the formatting.
- Click on the Language button, select the language you wish to set, and click OK.
- Click OK again to save the Style, and it will appear in the list.
Highlight the Style to apply it to any text in your document.
