This article explains how to add a Client Group in GhostPractice®.
Add a Client Group
Click Client Groups on the toolbar, and the Client Group module will open, displaying a list of all Client Groups.
- Click the New button on the Client Group toolbar.
- The Client Group tabs are displayed. There are two tabs in which you can capture details.
In the General tab, follow the prompts to capture general information about the Client Group.
- In the Contacts tab, you can link Contacts to the Client Group.
- Linking Existing Contacts to a Client Group:
- Click Link Contact, and the Add Contact dialog box will open.
- To navigate through the Contacts, click the relevant letters at the bottom of the dialog box. Select the check box (es) next to the Contact (s) you want to add.
- Click Add.
- To create a Contact and link them to the Client Group:
- Click the Create Contact and Link button, and the Contact Details dialog box will open.
- Follow the prompts to capture the information about the Contact.
- Click Save.
- Linking Existing Contacts to a Client Group:
When you have finished filling in all the relevant information, click the Save on the Client Group toolbar.
Edit a Client Group
- Click Client Groups on the toolbar, and the Client Group module will open, listing Client Group.
- Click All at the bottom of the screen to display Client Groups at once, or click a letter to display the appropriate Client Group.
- Select the Client Group you want to edit, and click Edit.
- The details are displayed in the Client Group tabs. Change the details as required.
- Click Save.
Deactivate a Client Group
- Click Client Groups on the toolbar.
- Click All at the bottom of the screen to display Client Groups at once, or click a letter to display the appropriate Client Group.
- Select the Client Group you want to deactivate, and click Deactivate.
- A Confirm Deactivate message will pop up; click Yes to deactivate the Client Group.
General Tab
| Field | Description |

| Created | Date and time the Client Group was created. |
| Account number | Client Group account number, which is automatically generated by the system. |
| Group name | Enter the name of the Group. |
| Physical address area | Enter the details of the physical address. |
| Language | The language in which the correspondence to the Client Group, e.g., Posting and Billing codes, will be generated. Select English or Afrikaans. |
| Branch | Branches of the legal practice. Select a branch to which the Client Group will be assigned. |
| Postal address area | Enter the details of the postal address. If the postal address is the same as the physical address, a check box is provided to indicate this. |
Contacts Tab
| Field | Description |

| Link contact | Opens a list of existing Contacts that you can link to the current Client Group. |
| Create contact and link | Opens the Contact details dialog box in which you can capture information about a new Contact. Once saved, the Contact is linked to the current Client Group. |
| Delete contact link | Removes the link of the selected Contact to the current Client Group. |
