This article explains how to perform an action and change process steps in GhostPractice®.
Each file in the Legal Diary is linked to a predefined Process. A Process is made up of a series of Activities, and each Activity has one or more Actions that you can choose from, depending on the course the file is taking. The system then performs the selected Action.
Performing an Action
Click Legal Diary on the toolbar.
- From the Legal Diary module, select the File you want to perform an action against,
The Process Steps and Ad-hoc Activities for the selected file will be displayed on the right.
- In the Process Steps pane, there may be one Action or a list of Actions; select the Action you want to perform.
- Click the Go button, and a dialog box will open, prompting you to capture the relevant information for the Action.
Click OK.
Performing an Activity
The Activities listed in the Ad-Hoc pane can be performed at any time during the Process and are not part of the main Process flow.
To perform an Activity, follow the steps below:
- Select the Activity.
- Click the Go button.
- A dialog box will open, prompting you to capture the relevant information for the Activity.
Click OK.
Changing a Process Step
- Click Legal Diary on the toolbar.
Click the Change Process Step button, and a dialogue box will open.
- In the Select the Sub-Process field, click the arrow to display a list of Sub-Processes associated with the current Process flow. Scroll through the list, and then click the new Sub-Process.
State the reason for changing the Process.
- To save the new Sub-Process and return to the Legal Diary module, click Save.
